Great buy for under £50
It's not waterproof but it's fantastic in the cold and wind.
So lightweight and compactable that i use mine all the time....regardless of the outside temperature

A good windbreaker but NOT for rain
Bought one of these and got absolutely soaked in the rain this past weekend. Really disappointed given its write up and the fact it should have advanced water repellent fabric. Nice and warm as a windbreaker but too expensive just for that!!

Sorry to hear that your jacket did not perform as you would hope. The Polar down jacket does feature a water repellent fabric, and therefore will offer a small level of protection from rain, but is not intended to be worn in a downpour.
